"Wake Up and Smell the Profits"
Hello, my name is Tim Cronin. I have been in the electronics components industry for the last 35 years and components is in my blood. My father T.X Cronin, was the President of Cramer Electronics (Cramer was acquired by Arrow Electronics)and he passed on this gene to me.
The industry has for many years cited 3 people as being builders and developers of the electronic component distribution community. They were: 1)-- T.X. Cronin, 2) - Seymour Schweber of Schweber Electronics 3) -- Tony Hamilton of Hamilton-Avnet (Avnet Electronics). They developed the "go-to-market" strategy for the traditional US based distributors. The strategies were: 1) product buyers guide, 2)feet on the street, 3) inside sales and customer service, 4) traditional sales divisions to support the different regional component marketplaces. In many cases, there also would be 5) -- product warehouses to service the different regions.
Cramer's key “Marketing” tool was the Product Buyers Guide. We named it the "Cramer Electronics Buyers Guide". The Buyers Guide was a powerful tool providing the electronic industrys' engineers and buyers with a catalog that was “chock-full-of-franchised component parts information”. This Buyers Guide would be updated annually by me (I was the Marketing and Sales Manager at Cramer Corporate) and the newly printed Buyers Guide would be distributed by the “feet on the street” and by US Mail into the hands of the engineering and the buying community. Many people called the "Cramer Electronics Buyers Guide" as the “Gospel of the Components Industry”.
Today, our New "eMarketing" Company – “fetch Solutions” is offering to the electronic components industry a turn-key set of tools that are required to take full advantage of transacting “eBusiness” using the Internet Sales-Channel. With the Internet now being recognized as a significant alternative sales-channel, the only traditional tool required to buy and sell products over the Internet is the “e-Catalog”. The other traditional tools are no longer required for Internet Sales. Therefore, the cost of transacting electronically is 30% - 40% less than the traditional “go-to-market” that has been in place for the last 40 years.
fetch says - "This Outsourced "Software-as-a-Service" program is what the C.F.O. (Chief Financial Officer)and the C.M.O. (Chief Marketing and Sales Officer) will love which is: “Added Sales and Significant Profits” at your companies “Virtual Sales Division”.
Today "fetch Solutions" has available the application software to create your "Virtual Sales Division (VSD)", which will include your company's "Internet 'e-Catalog' Buyers Guide". This Buyers Guide will provide your "self-serve" customers (component engineers & buyers) a robust Internet Platform to transact orders electronically within 60 days.. The up-front cost for the platform is only a small hook-up fee to link the Sales-Chain Partners with your VSD. This means a "One-Stop Data Base" for all your Internet Transactions. The majority of the cost for the VSD will be a “pay-as-you-go” program.
fetch would like to remind the components industry that the Top-Tier" Catalog Distributors are transacting eBusiness today. DigiKey has recently announced that their Internet Sales Platform is processing over 60% of their orders electronically. “fetch will provide you with the Internet tools to compete successfully with the Top-Tier catalog distributors, as well as, to allow your enterprise to compete successfully with your Top-Tier competitors. This is where the battle is being fought; the Internet is the future platform for “eMarketing” of components.

Tim Cronin
